Mutual Superannuation Fund

- A smart way to invest

MSF KiwiSaver Scheme

MSF KiwiSaver Scheme is a registered KiwiSaver scheme under the KiwiSaver Act 2006. It is a defined contribution superannuation scheme and has been established under an umbrella trust alongside Security Mutual Fund principally for the purpose of providing retirement benefits directly or indirectly in its scheme members. The scheme was established by deed on 21 December 2007.

Our investment philosophy

Diversification

Diversification is a powerful antidote to uncertainty, that is why our approach is careful, meaningful, measured diversification across asset classes to give our scheme members the best insurance against uncertainty.

MSF KiwiSaver Scheme investment allocations may vary at any time within the following asset classes:

  • New Zealand shares
  • International shares
  • New Zealand fixed interest securities
  • Property
  • Cash

Income

During uncertain times it becomes a great deal more tolerable if your investment is paying a dividend. This is why we aim to seek consistent returns and reduce volatility.

Investment performance

Because of financial market uncertainty in recent times MSF KiwiSaver Scheme has invested in fixed interest securities, cash and a unit interest in Security Mutual Fund. We will resume our investment strategy when we believe the market has settled sufficiently.

The following are the audited percentage returns before tax and membership activities:
